Having Tina attend my birth was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From the moment I met her, I knew I could trust her to help me make the best decisions for me and my family, and to be my advocate during a very stressful time. I found her to be completely non-judgmental, warm, loving, and an overall highly-informed, empathetic and caring human being. I have already recommended her to all of my friends, and can’t even think of anything that would have made the experience better. Specifically, I had concerns around pain and fear of pain and as soon as she joined the party during my contractions, my pain became much more manageable under her care.

Going into the pregnancy as the non-birthing partner, I had a lot of questions, anxieties, and blindspots; Tina worked hard to help get me up to speed on how I can be supportive during the pregnancy, labor and delivery, and helped me feel like an asset rather than a hinderance. Without Tina, I fear that I’d have just gotten in the way during delivery, but with her there, she was able to support my wife during her time of need. If we ever have another kid, there’s no doubt that we will work with Tina. She’s simply incredible at what she does!

Tina and I began working together early in my first trimester, and I immediately knew I was in good hands with her combination of professionalism, dependability, knowledge, empathy, awe, and tenderness. It felt good having someone rooting for me who really grew to know me over the months of pregnancy. I labored at a hospital with an epidural, and having Tina as my doula there was absolutely still so valuable and worth it!

Tina’s postpartum visit was also extremely meaningful. She was the perfect person for me to receive support from during a vulnerable time. Her compassion gave me the space to feel the full range of my experience, while also being a supportive and solid presence that I was able to lean on. I am so grateful I chose to work with Tina as a birth doula, and got to experience some of her amazing postpartum chef skills, too!

I knew Tina was my doula the minute we connected! I had my ups and downs during the pregnancy and she was there to help me feel empowered and heard. I needed to be prepared for a potential c-birth because babe was breech in late 3rd trimester. Tina helped me navigate the discomfort that came with sitting in the unknown, and she also brought up specific questions for me to ask my midwives which helped me understand what all of my options were for either birth scenario. During postpartum, Tina walked into my home with much presence, vibrancy, and willingness to help. From being there for our daughters first bath to offering breastfeeding support to navigating challenging emotions and to rescuing my newly engorged boobs and painful back! She weaved into our sacred postpartum space seamlessly - it was like having a dear friend over who knew exactly how to normalize my inner experience. Hiring her was one of the best decisions I made during this special journey.
